In 2022, Peter made a major career pivot. He had pursued the medical field for many years because of his deep devotion to positively impacting people’s health. As he finished his master’s degree with a focus on water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), he recognized the all-encompassing nature of “the water industry”–it significantly impacts not only human health but also our businesses, climate, and everyday activities. Peter decided to focus his work on supporting efforts to improve the quality, access, and efficiency of water.
In 2021, Peter led a team at the nonprofit organization One Shared World that developed a mock UN resolution urging world leaders to prioritize universal WASH access to all citizens. After discussions with UN leaders, part of the mock resolution was adopted into a legitimate resolution that was unanimously passed in December 2021.
In spring 2022, Peter completed his Master of Science degree with a focus on WASH and its relationship with human health in the Peruvian Amazon. In 2022, Peter teamed up with Stuart Rudick, a water investor and advocate, to develop the HydroDAO nonprofit community which supports innovators in the water industry through networking events, weekly newsletters, and online discussion platforms.
Peter is also co-founder and COO of EverBlue Ventures, a growth stage venture capital fund that invests in companies that are creating the most groundbreaking solutions to massive water challenges. The team believes that novel systems and technologies can help generate clean and accessible water for everyone on the planet!
